Description:The Senior Application Developer is responsible for developing and implementing technology-based solutions that improve the Bama System. The Senior Developer is a technical expert for Bama information systems with an emphasis on cross-platform business application development and support.

Duties:The Senior Application Developer provides value to the Bama System by implementing technology improvements that extend and enhance existing ‘legacy’ applications. The Senior Developer designs and develops information systems that maintain the integrity of the existing business applications while providing modern interfaces the support Bama business rules and functional work flows.

The successful Senior Application Developer is a hands-on professional with strong technical and good interpersonal skills. The Senior Developer combines technical, leadership, and process improvement skills with a passion for building customer relationships to drive change at Bama. The Developer solves problems, identifies root cause improvements, and is seen as a good communicator.
Qualifications:Key Technical Requirements: The candidate must have strong technical knowledge and abilities.

• Development Tools – Websphere Development Studio Client ( including Java, RPG, and CL), .NET Web Services, C#, VB.NET
• SQL – Proficient in SQL for DB2 and SQL Server
• ETL Tools – Experience using an ETL tool such as SSIS or Business Objects Data Integrator
• Reporting Tools – Recent experience using report design software.

Other Qualifications

• Proven, relevant experience developing web and/or client based applications in a cross-platform environment.
• Ability to support and enhance ‘legacy’ applications using modern tools sets.
• Strong customer service orientation. They define success based on the success of their customers.
• Ability to write clear and concise business communications that are targeted toward the intended audience (executive level, technical staff, end users, etc.).
• Proficiency in oral communication with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people in a clear, understandable manner.
• Demonstrated skill in planning, prioritizing, organizing, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in executing the entire system development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve highly complex, technical issues in a short amount of time and in high-pressure situations.
